Lynne Ho

Lynne Ho: was born in Sydney, NSW.  As a child, Lynne always wanted to paint and when the opportunity arose to learn from Nigel Thomson, a 1983 &1997 Archibald Prize winner, she grabbed the chance without any hesitation. Lynne spent a few years in the early 1980’s under his guidance. After a break of 38 years, she resumed painting when Covid-19 lockdown confined us to our homes in 2020. Since then, Lynne has received numerous awards from the Queanbeyan Art Society in the monthly art competitions. Having learnt Portraiture from Nigel Thompson and wanting to improve her Landscape technique, Lynne has undertaken master classes in Landscape painting with both John Wilson and Ted Lewis. Her inspiration at the moment comes from appreciating and acknowledging all the wonderful colours weaved into God’s beautiful creation that is around us.

Donald Ho 

Donald is a retired teacher based in Canberra. He re-discovered the joy of watercolour painting during the COVID19 lockdown in 2020. He draws a lot of inspiration for artists like Eudes Correia and Andre Kano.

Donald is a member of Queanbeyan Arts Society, and he has won several prizes in competitions run by the society over the last few years.

In his paintings, Donald enjoys the challenge of creating something spectacular from ordinary, everyday objects.
