Into the Light…by Marion Schumacher

Marion Schumacher lives and paints near Gunning, in a studio with a home attached, selling from the age of 14 years and has been working on honing her skills over the years as a full time, dedicated artist.

Her latest exhibition for July and August “Into the Light” captures the colour and atmosphere of Australia. This has been a constant obsession for Marion, producing artwork that passes a personal approval level has always been the first consideration.

Marion has worked in almost every medium, taught adult leisure classes, illustrated children’s books, painted theatre backdrops, murals and hold solo and group exhibitions on a regular basis.

Along with regular guest artists the Gallery has eight resident artists, Jenny Becker, Val Le Maitre, Sue Grieves, Janette McGuffog, Oliver Cheng, Sukhvinder Saggu, Denise Moule and Gay Mouat. The partners present a diverse range of images depicting all seasons. Subjects are mainly drawn from nature and from their immediate surroundings or on their travels. Painted in a wide range of mediums.
